Over 90 employers attended an event jointly hosted by Tameside and Stockport Councils in Ashton
The event - called Funding, Facts and Fighting the Fog - was attended by local employers including Ashton Pioneer Homes, New Charter Building Company and Mono Pumps who found out about the grants, schemes, funding and recognition available to employers; work experience and volunteering; apprenticeship 'myth busting'; and employers' perspectives.
Keynote speaker was Audrey Bodman from Outshine Ltd who gave employers hints and tips on how to improve their customer engagement.
Employers said afterwards that the event was "very informative and enjoyable" and "very well organised, the facilitators moved well to keep everyone's interest". Most employers said that they were interested in the 50:50 Apprenticeship Scheme.
